This is the 33rd Mangan Reijo (sacred place for fulfiling a vow) of the “Saigoku Sanjusankasho Kannon Pilgrimage”, the oldest pilgrimage in Japan. It is a famous spot for cherry blossoms and red leaves. In spring, you can walk through a tunnel of cherry blossoms along the approach to Kegon Temple.
